A Rendition of Oh Holy Night only a gifted child could deliver.
Phenomenal performance, if you can hear angels sing, this is how they would sound like ripping through your heart and soul.
BACKGROUND:
Although born with a God given talent, Charice has to fight through poverty in the Philippines and her only instrument would be her voice. She started singing at age 4 and her mom who separated from her dad is her only coach. At age 7 she started to join Barrio Fiesta Singing contest in her native land and won almost all of the 80+ singing contest she entered between the age of 7-11.
At age 13 she entered a TV show singing contest called "Little Big Star" where she placed 3rd behind 2 male contestants eventhough the judges themselves do acknowledge her gifts. She languished for several years being a regular teenager, singing her way through High School until an avid fan False Voice uploaded one of her video in You Tube.
At the age of 15 years, through her vid singing "I will always Love you" in the "Little Big Star" competition, she was invited by Ten Songs Production of Sweden to record in Sweden an 7 songs of which up to this day have not been released by the Swedish Studio.
On the same year 2007, she was invited by SMS "Star King" of Korea to be thier foreign act contestant due to her videos that was uploaded through You Tube as well, and this is the act that the United States media noticed in the same year, where she performed Jennifer Hudson's "I'm telling you I'm not going". Her video of this appearance was recorded and uploaded in You Tube by a Korean, which started the chain of events that catapulted her to where she is right now, through the help of some of the people who were touched by her performance namely: Ellen De Generes, David Foster, Oprah Winfrey, Ed Shapiro, Clive Davis, Celine Dion, Quincy Jones, etc. etc. All the big names of American Music Industry and de facto International Music Culture gatekeepers.
She is currently working on her International debut album with David Foster, and if all goes well she could be the first truely Diva of Asian heritage. She already have a commanding fanbase that streches parts of Europe, South America, Middle East, Asia, and parts of the United States and Canada.
She is in it for a ride! She already dreamed Big...anything else after this is just blessing from above.
She once said:
"If your going to Dream, make it as big as you can, cause dreaming is free, nothing will take that from you"
**A Black and White Effect was selected to give the video its nostalgic look and emphasize the emotions contained within the song and the songtress.
